CAMPUS KATRINEBJERG

As part of the master plan for the Katrinebjerg campus area in northern Aarhus, Boligkontoret Aarhus is building a new section with youth housing units, homes for young couples and a wide range of communal facilities.

Dynamic university campus

Campus Katrinebjerg will be an exciting and vibrant study and residential environment surrounded by large educational institutions such as the Danish School of Media and Journalism and IT City Katrinebjerg.

The area will consist of several housing sections, which will create new buildings for Aarhus University students and form the basis for better physical cohesion and high-quality facilities for interdisciplinary activities.

As part of the new campus area, 19 family-friendly homes and 66 youth housing units will be built, all furnished with prefabricated bathrooms from Green Box.

These are small-scale homes, and space optimisation has therefore also been incorporated in the development of the prefabricated bathrooms. For example, the toilet cistern is located under the tabletop, so it does not occupy an independent wall. All bathrooms have fittings from Hans Grohe, including a wash basin mixer, shower mixer and shower head.

The overall visions for the new youth housing units are community and sustainability, and the project is to achieve DGNB Gold certification.
