LARGE-FORMAT TILES

WHEN OPTIMAL DESIGN AND MINIMAL MAINTENANCE MEET

Large-format tiles – also called slabs – are a popular trend in ceramic tiles for bathrooms. They are often used as wall coverings, covering, for example, a designated wall or a shower cabin. But they can also be used on floor surfaces or larger wall areas.

With a calm surface, large-format tiles create a sense of spaciousness and add an exclusive and luxurious look to the bathroom – not least because they require fewer joints.

The applications and benefits of using slabs are many. It is fairly quick to cover a relatively large area, where the often beautiful pattern of the tiles is allowed to express itself. Due to the few joints, you also achieve a visually unbroken surface and minimal maintenance.

CUSTOM-MADE SOLUTIONS

INNOVATING IN CLOSE DIALOGUE WITH PARTNERS

At Green Box, we work closely with our customers to find the perfect solution for each individual building project. That is precisely why no two prefabricated bathrooms are identical.

It sometimes takes special solutions to meet all wishes and requirements for a bathroom. With extensive experience in technical solutions and materials, we find it natural to collaborate with our highly competent partners on developing tailored innovations that are a perfect match for our customers’ projects.

One example is a series of prefabricated bathrooms for Hotel Scandic in the new Vervet district in Tromsø (Norway). Here, linear floor drains from Unidrain are a central part of the shower cabin of the Green Box bathrooms. For this particular hotel, however, the developer wanted a linear floor drain in a black design that would support the colour scheme of the bathrooms.

Green Box therefore entered into a close collaboration with Unidrain on the customised production of the classic linear floor drain ClassicLine in an elegant black variant, which beautifully matches the aesthetics and colour palette of the bathrooms with floor and wall tiles in grey-brown and blue-green tones and details in black and rust-red shades.
